Sports are not the only area where physical readiness and performance are critically important. They are also important to service members and first responders, such as firefighters, personnel in search & rescue, and law enforcement. Research and innovation in military & first responder health & performance encompasses several areas, including reducing injury and optimizing physical performance, addressing mental performance, understanding unique physical demands of the professions, and how to train to meet those unique demands.
