“The truth in my mind is that we were ready, as a community, for a sense of identity and connectedness,” Lough said. “The irony is that it was a tragedy that brought us all together, but the beautiful part of that tragedy is how the Golden Knights franchise understood that that’s the role of a sport team. The true role of a sport team is to bring the community together.”
