The UNLV Sports Innovation Institute and Women in Sports and Events (WISE) Las Vegas are proud to announce the establishment of a collaborative mentorship program. This program aims to support and empower female students at UNLV who are interested in pursuing careers in sports and events management. Through this program, recipients will have the opportunity to become members of WISE, a leading organization dedicated to empowering women to succeed in the business of sports and events. Additionally, they will receive a dedicated mentor from WISE.

Mentorship Benefits

  • Complimentary 1 semester membership to WISE (Women in Sports and Events).
  • Access to networking events, professional development workshops, and industry resources offered by WISE.
  • Monthly meetings with mentors that are leading professionals in the sports and entertainment industry.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a female student enrolled at UNLV.
  • Must demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in sports and events management.
  • Must exhibit leadership potential and a commitment to promoting gender equality in the sports industry.
  • Must be in good academic standing.

Application Process – Interested candidates should follow the steps below to apply for the mentorship program by the application deadline of December 20, 2024.

  • Attach Resume/CV outlining academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and relevant experience.

Selection Process

A selection committee comprising representatives from the UNLV Sports Innovation Institute and WISE will review applications and select members based on the eligibility criteria and the strength of their application materials.
