UNLV Sport Innovation’s Director of Sports Management, Dr. Nancy Lough, was interviewed along with Dr. Jenny Pharr about the Las Vegas Aces’ WNBA finals run.
From the story:
“The trajectory of the aces has been very similar to the trajectory of the WNBA in general,” said Lough. “Which is we have seen through COVID and beyond a very significant increase in viewership, both broadcast and attendance.” Lough says the aces saw the highest increase in average attendance, more than 66 percent year over year. The team also had the highest-attended game this season, with more than 17,000 fans at T-Mobile Arena for the final game of the regular season.”
