Riley received his Bachelors in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Studies from Cal State Fullerton in 2022. During that time he worked as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at Sanford Sports in Irvine, CA. He also presented his study on forces produced by athletes of different sports and compared them at the 2022 South West American College of Sports Medicine conference.
Riley is now a 2nd year graduate assistant at UNLV, working with both the Sports Innovation Institute as well as UNLV Athletics. During his first year, he taught biomechanics labs, where he learned how to explain complex topics to students unfamiliar with the field of biomechanics. Those skills now translate into communicating with athletes, coaches, and peers about data that he and his team collect at UNLV athletics.
